On Sunday, Feb 8, we celebrated my Grandma Poortinga's 95th birthday. Grandma is still very active and doesn't look a day over 80.
Since we were already in Pella, we decided to celebrate Madeline's 10th birthday a week early. We had a great time bowling, eating pizza and having ice cream cake for dessert. Madeline received some nice gifts from her Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Her Grandma Poortinga decided to be brave with her gift. She is going to take Madeline shopping! Madeline is all pumped up about that idea.
On Monday, Feb 9, we celebrated Chuck's mom's 80th birthday. We sent her a beautiful bouqet of flowers. The girls and I delivered a yummy cake that we had with ice cream that evening.
We definitely had a lot of birthday cake in two days; however, Carmen, Madeline, Anna and I don't ever complain about sweets!
