Chuck and I were very proud parents this Sunday. After 9 months of confirmation classes, Carmen joined the Valley United Methodist Church. She was able to select a mentor for this road in her life and she picked a great lady named Teri. Teri has been a wonderful mentor and Carmen's faith has grown wonderfully with her assistance along with her class instructors, Pastor Emmanuel and Deb. We are very blessed to have such a great church in our lives. The picture is of her confirmation class and their mentors (in the back) along with Pastor Emmanuel and Deb.
The confirmation class and their mentors created a quilt to remember this experience. The quilt is behind us in the picture of Chuck, Carmen and me.
Carmen also is taking more of a role with the church by joining the 11:00 church service praise band. She sings with the music leader, 2 other high school girls, and Teri. She is really enjoying her new role and is planning on volunteering for more things soon.
We're proud of you Carmen! It's so exciting to see our kids getting involved in the church and growing in their faith.
